Exercise has become a vital part of my life and weekly routine, keeping me fit physically and mentally. I have not always been as in shape as I am now, going through weight ups and downs since high school. I am the “heaviest” person among my siblings, who all got high metabolisms and are taller than me, so I have to work at keeping weight from being gained.

The Ring: Fighting in the National Stadium of Thailand

Roaring, the crowd applauded as the announcer began. I heard my school and name in Thai emanating from the ceiling. Bowing to my instructor I rolled under the ropes he had propped open for me. Stepping into the ring, I took a moment to clear my mind and look around the stadium. Mostly white faces stared at me from the ringside seats, drinking Singha and screaming for blood (they didn’t serve water in the stadium for good reason: beer generates more thirst, and more money). Behind them were the richer Thais, talking among themselves about the knockout of the last fight. Situated above them were the cheap spots which weren’t even seats. Gamblers stood behind the reinforced chicken wire with their newspapers held up to their ears, calling in the betting odds illegally. Hell, there were more fights there than in the ring.

But, when creating a home gym at home it can be smarter to begin with small inexpensive or free items. When you’re in your own property, you get to control the quality of the air you breathe. Or does one really? The truth of the matter is that there are all sorts of pollutants that can infect the air of your home and increase your risk of respiratory problems and asthma. Part of this is because our households are becoming more air tight-we have better windows and seals in an attempt to reduce heating and cooling costs. Of course, saving electricity is what is making the air in our homes harder on our lungs. Here are a number of the things that can be done to keep your home’s air as healthful as you possibly can.

Massage therapy has been shown to have many positive benefits on your health and well-being. Many research studies have confirmed that there are an impressive range of physical and emotional benefits. Massage therapy helps to relieve stress, reduce muscle tension, decrease pain, improve skin tone and increase awareness. Although there are many benefits to massage therapy, there is a caveat. Massage therapy must be done on a regular and ongoing basis. It is really no different than diet and exercise.
